For many years I wrote the blog for my old employer at another surf camp here in Central Nicaragua and since moving on to open Sirena Surf Lodge I've actually gotten requests for another blog... no really! Doing a blog is a big responsibility, not like averting a nuclear holocaust or even a small scale civil war, but as in the challenge of keeping the content fresh day to day, especially when every day, as the title says, is more or less the same. Of course we have our adventures, but when an 8' reticulated python doesn't climb inside the truck or a tug boat doesn't lose it's barge on the sand bar, what do you write about? The ribs are good and so is the ceviche. The fishing goes from good to bad and back again. The sun shines, the wind blows and of course we are in the endless pursuit of the next barrel, which if history dictates, we will be successful at just about every day. The blog then becomes a tool with which to rub your nose in it. Being the bad dog, or in this case ground hog that you are, we won't let you walk away from this mess you created by becoming a surfer. We will pepper you with photos and of course the blah blah blah of the blog...every day, until we cease to exist, the continent sinks into the sea, or you finally book a ticket and come down. Or you can just unsubscribe, but what fun would that be?! Buy the ticket.
